This shot from a story conceptualised with Mercy Sang was intended to set up our antagonist, straying away from the warm Fresnel lighting of other shots to something colder, softer and naturalistic. Here is our chillingly-alluring character, looking down on the viewer and blending into the even tonal range: flatter highlights and deeper tonal shadows.
